His Star
The story of the birth of Jesus is recorded in Matthew 2 and Luke 2 in the Bible. According to those chapters, "His Star" led the wise men and the shepherds to the manger where He laid. This album consists of six favorite Christmas hymns from "Joy to the World, "Away in the Manger", "Silent Night", "Angels We Have Heard on High", "The First Noel", and "What Child is This". The remaining four are "His Star", the cover song, "The Angels Came", "Winter's Eve", and "Great Joy". The last song, "Great Joy", is based on the Hebraic music motive for the word, "joy", and has the theme of Beethoven's "Ode to Joy" intertwined in it.
